An overflowing trunk-full collected for the Battered Women's Shelter was delivered with 58 $10 gift cards in support of the 'at risk' teenagers who attend the shelter's holiday party. The shelter team sends their appreciation for your support at our December meeting on behalf of the women and over 300 children being served at this time.Please note, the shelter will be closed to donation drop-offs to prepare for the holiday party beginning December 17th. They will resume collection for 2018 tax purposes on December 26th.

Early Bird: Zoom in on your Mark Making - Hands on with Leslie Winakur

In this hands on Early Bird, we will use a variety of tools to make calligraphic marks and then use them as a beginning for a piece of calligraphic art. I will supply all necessary tools and media.

There are some very exciting things happening in the world of calligraphy today and we are fortunate to be here to see them. Mini Workshop - January 2019

Valentine's Day Cards for the Women's Shelter.
Workshop presented by Leslie, Monica, Becky, Maggie and Lynn.

This is a very special mini. We are making Valentine cards to be distributed to the Battered Women's Shelter. Come and enjoy a round robin of valentine card making, and learn new techniques while you’re having fun. There will be pop ups, collages, and other surprises. Nothing beats having a great time for a worthy cause!

The teacher says there’s no budget for art supplies, new or used supplies are gladly welcomed.

There is a basic list of supplies for most SACG workshops. Check the Calendar for additional supplies required for specific workshops. If you need help understanding something on the list, ask an established member. They'll be happy to help!

Join Us!

The San Antonio Calligraphers’ Guild meets on the first Thursday of the month, September through June, at 7:00PM in the Parish Hall of Christ Episcopal Church, 510 Belknap Place. An “Early Bird” Program begins at 6:30PM followed by a business meeting and program. Membership in the Guild is open to all who are interested. The dues are $24.00 annually to cover the period from July 1st through June 30th of each year. Secondary memberships are $12.00 for each family members. Visitors are welcome and may attend two meetings before paying membership dues.
