At the November Meeting, State Representative Diego Bernal presented the Guild with a formal State of Texas Resolution. Rep. Bernal read the entire resolution, which stated the Guild was a “notable organization” whose members have demonstrated a “strong commitment to the arts and to improving the quality of life in the Alamo City.” Representative Bernal also commended our organization for being an outstanding example of civic engagement.
During the General Meeting and Early Bird, we explored the world of gold!
All that Glitters, presented by Leslie Winakur, had Guild Members testing out new and different ways to add gold to their artwork! Members learned traditional and nontraditional gold work, from the authentic stuff to faux; there were paints, foils, inks, pens, markers, and even a bit of real gold!
Leslie led an amazing program and gave our members a great reference tool to utilize!
