She will also be presenting a lecture at the home of Leslie Winakur on Friday, the 4thof October. Our Fall Exhibit will begin on Sunday, the 13thof October at the Memorial Library. The reception will be held the same day from 4-6 pm. For those of you who wish to exhibit, but have not yet turned in your paperwork, the Assistant Librarian has extended the deadline for submission of paperwork. Please have it to me NLT the 3rd of October. The artwork need not be completed until Saturday, the 12thwhen we will hang it in the gallery. Just be sure the ink is dry! We also have more room for books and items to be displayed in the locked case. If you have not picked up your Calendar-at-a-Glance, please do so at the Thursday, 3rdof October General Meeting. I will also have available an information sheet about the exhibit at the Memorial Library (library hours, parking, directions etc.) I look forward to seeing you all at the General Meeting on Thursday for popcorn and movie night.

Students had a great time learning about & writing with the Pilot Parallel pen. All sorts of mark-making, including circular designs, to practice the strokes! The circular designs were so much fun! Maggie showed a great tip about how to keep track of the lid for the pen! Maggie used the Parallel Pen to write her monogram, as well as her name, all connected.

Workshop Title - Alcohol Ink Cards
Workshop Presenter - Natalie Fowler
This month we will be learning how to use alcohol inks to make beautiful cards just in time for the holidays!
We will provide a variety of mediums and techniques to design your own unique cards, however we ask that you bring the following:
- Alcohol Ink (3-4 different colors)
- Paper Towels
- Scissors
- Glue Stick
If you have the following items, they would be good to bring along as well:
- Paint Pens and Sharpies - these can be used to draw and letter on top of the dried ink
- Alcohol Ink based Markers - (such as Copic Brand) they will respond the same way but give more control
