The library program has two parallel purposes. The first is to make high-quality books and videos personally available to members at no cost to them. The second is to serve as collector/ conservator of unique, rare or out-of- print works that are valuable to perpetuating calligraphy as an art form. The library is currently housed in a mobile cabinet at the Christ Episcopal Church Parish Hall. Items may be checked out or returned before the meeting is called to order or during the break.

Guidelines for Circulation:

  • Availability: The library will be available at each monthly meeting for Guild members in good standing.
  • Procedure for Checkout: The borrower must sign the book out using the notebook kept in the library. The name of the book and author are indicated, along with the borrower’s name, email, phone number and the due date (usually, the date of the next General Meeting). An item may be checked out for no more than one month, and there will be no check outs during the summer break.
  • Procedure for Return: Items shall be returned to the library at the next General The Librarian will initial the sign-out sheet to acknowledge that the book was returned and in good condition.
  • Overdue Items: There is currently no fine or penalty for overdue items, but the Library Chair may implement a penalty with Board approval if it becomes necessary.
