The Secret Pal program is a great way to practice calligraphy and stay engaged with other Guild members during June, July and August when we do not meet regularly.

After signing up, participants are paired with “pals” with whom they will exchange small gifts such as cards, artwork or craft items. Often, there is a theme or questionnaire to inspire creativity. Participants are encouraged to create a minimum of one hand-made item per month, and to deliver the item to their pal in a way that keeps the sender’s identity a secret. At the September meeting, the exchanges are displayed and shared with the entire membership, and the “secret pal” is finally revealed.
